Oasis OH-1 Original Guitar Humidifier The body of Oasis is made from a specially designed fabric that allows water vapor (but not water) to pass through it. As the vapor transmission takes place, a vacuum is created and Oasis shrinks to compensate for the loss of water. By watching the Oasis shrink, you can determine when it is ready for refill. When refilling, you don’t have to guess when it is full. Simply unscrew the black cap, fill with water to the top of the container and replace the cap. Once sealed, the watertight container is your first line of defense against leaks. Humigel, the super absorbent polymer crystals inside Oasis, are your second line of defense. Humigel captures up to 500 times its weight in water in an absorbent gel matrix. Like other sound hole humidifiers, Oasis fits between the strings of your instrument. The materials that touch your strings are relatively soft and will not scratch your strings. A blue polyurethane stabilizing bar fits over the neck of the humidifier. Once positioned in the sound hole, the stabilizing bar lies across the guitar strings to ensure even weight distribution. Oasis never touches the body of your instrument. For normal seasonal humidification (down to 25% relative humidity), most guitarists can rely on the original Blue Oasis. The Oasis provides humidification for 7-10 days before needing to be refilled. OH-2 Digital Hygrometer w/clip A guitar, or any other stringed musical instrument made of wood, is at risk of cracking when the relative humidity drops below 40%. The Oasis Digital Hygrometer accurately measures relative humidity and can help you decide when to use your Oasis Guitar Humidifier. Because relative humidity varies greatly, even inside your home, we recommend that you keep your hygrometer close to your instrument.

It includes the OH-5 Plus+ Humidifier and OH-2 Digital Hygrometer with clip for attaching near the instrument or in the case.Oasis OH-5 Plus+ HumidifierWhile the original Blue Oasis provides sufficient humidity in many environments, it is not effective everywhere. The humidity demands of the desert, mountain states or frigid north exceed the humidification capacity of the device. For this reason, Oasis developed the Oasis Plus+ humidifier. The Plus+ is the same size and shape as the original blue Oasis, but is made of a different material that provides 50% more humidity output.Because the Oasis Plus+ HumidifierPlus+ is the same size as the original Blue Oasis and it has 50% greater humidity output, it will be necessary to refill the Oasis Plus+ more frequently than the original Blue Oasis.If one is using a hygrometer, Oasis recommends that the Oasis Plus+ be used when the room humidity is below 25%. The original Blue Oasis should be used when the surrounding room humidity is between 25-40%. Above, 40%, you should not be using a humidifier.It is important to also to monitor the humidity inside your instrument case. Case size, design, material and other factors will impact the humidity permeability of each case. The Oasis HH Combo OH-30 is the only humidifier/hygrometer designed to fit in the soundhole of a steel string acoustic guitar. When using a humidifier to boost the humidity inside a musical instrument it is important to monitor humidity levels. Otherwise, maintaining correct humidity is just guesswork. The HH Combo has two parts. Above the strings, the upper portion of the unit contains a clearly visible and accurate hygrometer, which can be calibrated by the user if necessary. The humidifier clips securely into the bottom of the hygrometer. Suspended by the strings, the humidifier releases moisture evenly and slowly inside the guitar yet never touches the instrument body. A specialized, drip-resistant sponge holds 10 times its dry weight in water, which allows for longer periods between refills. There are four openings on each side of the humidifier for the water vapor to escape. This is sufficient for most dry areas. In dryer climates like Arizona, there are four additional openings which can be punched out to provide more humidity. The sponge is easily recharged by moistening the sponge with distilled water. Finding a secure way to attach the humidifier to the inside of the case, and still have it easily removed and re-attached, was no small challenge.With proven technology, the Blue Oasis humidifier, Oasis inserted two neodymium magnets in the seam of the humidifier. The magnets then attach to the instrument case using either a steel belt style clip or a stainless steel strip with adhesive backing. The belt style clip fits over the side of the case and provides a flat vertical surface for the magnets to adhere. The adhesive backed stainless steel strip allows for either vertical or horizontal attachment anywhere there is a flat surface inside the case. An advantage of this type of humidifier is the flexibility to position the humidifier in a wide variety of locations within your instrument case.A 10cc. syringe is also included. Take a small piece of cloth and place it under the hygrometer to avoid scratching the top of your guitar. Put the hygrometer on the guitar top with the sensor at the edge of the sound hole. Close the case and allow 4-6 hours for the humidity to stabilize.
